Spring break is upon us which means many of us will be seeking warm weather, but for 32 young girls, Evansville will be the destination. March 25-27th Evansville Tennis Center will be hosting its second USTA National Level 3 tournament of the year. The addition of these tournaments not only brings players from all over the country to the city of Evansville, but it allows local players to stay home and compete at the national level. It is also great exposure for the tennis community as a whole. According to the Evansville Sports Corp, this tournament will generate roughly 130 room nights, sparking continuous economic growth for the area.
Matches will be held outside at Wesselman Tennis Center (Wesselman Park). Matches begin Saturday morning with doubles play. Matches are expected to start at 9am. After doubles the players will continue the day with singles. This 32 size draw will be a Full Feed-In through the quarterfinals, which guarantees every participant at least two matches. Sunday will also feature doubles and singles, leading to the final rounds on Monday. For more information on the tournament please visit the tournament website .
