Wesselman Tennis Center is located at in the heart of Evansville’s only nature preserve. ETCA has called Evansville home since 1972. In 1992 ECTA and the City of Evansville laid foundation to the original 8 post-tension court at Wesselman Park. Shortly after the improvements were made to the surrounding areas such as the parking lot, outdoor mezzanine for viewing, bleachers, lights and a finally with the Wesselman Tennis Centers building, which features a full kitchen, full locker rooms and a large meeting hall.

The USTA Women’s Pro Circuit has been bar-setting tournament at Wesselman Tennis Center since 1997. This is the only professional tennis tournament in the state of Indiana and one of the longest running Pro Circuit events in the country. Each summer the facility is transformed with the help of staff and volunteers to make this event a must-see.

Local High School teams and Collegiate Teams have called Wesselman home throughout the years. Memorial High School and Meter Dei High School have practiced and competed here. Their annual SIAC tournament is also played at Wesselman Park. Both University of Southern Indiana Men’s and Women’s teams use the facility for practice, matches and invites. The University of Evansville also practices and plays some of the matches at the Park. In 2014 the Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Tournament was played at Wesselman Park.

During the spring and throughout the summer and fall our courts are busy in the evenings with our USTA and Non-sanctioned Adult Leagues. Approximately 250 players each season compete for their team with the friends, peers and colleagues under the lights.

Junior Programs and tournaments are held at Wesselman Tennis Center in the summer. We offer introductory junior classes, middle school and high school, tournament level camps.

Wesselman Tennis Center continues to be home for majority of our Junior and Adult tournaments. In 2015 ECTA was awarded Evansville’s first elevated Midwest Tournament. In efforts to continue to grow the game of tennis, provide local players with multiple tournament options, and to bring some of sections and nationals best players to our City, ECTA was again able to secure another high level junior tournament. By adding three USTA National Junior Tournaments, ECTA is in rare company as one of the few facilities in the country to host 10 and Under, district, sectional, national, and a professional tournament.
